Course Description: The event is set in beautiful old parkland with established turf which rides well in most weather conditions. Some changes and improvements will be incorporated into both cross country tracks this year. These include a new start and finish location and several new fences but the traditional feel of the course will be maintained. There is a good selection of solid well built fences including an inviting water jump, bank and steps. The course will be aerovated if necessary. Improvements to the show jumping and dressage areas are ongoing. Entries: Enter online at British Eventing or complete an entry form and send it to the Entries Secretary with a cheque made payable to Thornton Watlass Horse Trials - please also enclose a seperate 22cm x 11cm (DL) SAE for each horse entered. WITHDRAWALS: By 18:00 hrs on Tuesday 26th July by telephoning 07715 373316. REFUND POLICY: As per Rule 2.20. STARTING FEES: Will be payable on collection of numbers (cash preferred please). Stabling: Local stabling is available - please contact the Event Secretary for details and arrange with stabling providers directly. Prizes: Prize money will be paid to ALL sections apart from the BE90PC who will receive prizes in kind. Rosettes will be awarded to 10th place and a trophy will be awarded to the winner of each section. The John Nicholson memorial trophy will be awarded to the highest placed Yorkshire based rider in the BE100Open. Notice of prize givings will be displayed in the secretary's tent, please attend the prize giving if you are placed. All terrain vehicles and motorcycles will not be permitted except those used by authorised officials. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Parking will be limited, please follow stewards directions and park courteously for other competitors. Thornton Watlass Horse Trials are held under British Eventing rules for official horse trials. The making of an entry constitutes acceptance of those rules. The organisers of this event have taken reasonable percautions to ensure the health and safety of every person present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable percautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards. Schooling: The course will be open for schooling throughout the week after the event.
